Hello everyone; I was hoping you could help me with some information about a Singer, Model: 168G 101. I have a golden opportunity to obtain one today and was wondering if it would be satisfactory for sewing heavy tooling leather. For example, would it stitch two or three pieces of 8 to 10 oz. veg. tanned leather together? I thought that with the post, and nice wide throat, that it would be ideal for a lot of different projects, but don't know about the capacity of it. I look forward to hearing your thoughts on this machine.Bud.post-15496-0-77821500-1373817053_thumb.j

Thank you. I have seen that page but it offers little in the way of what It can do as far as leather weight etc.Bud

I know nothing about it, but here's a link to a spec sheet.

It's a post machine used to make shoes. It will sew maybe a 1/4 inch thick piece. They are really nice to have around for lighter weight projects, but it won't sew two or three pieces like you want.

Well, that certainly answers my question, thank you very much, I appreciate this sort of information. I think I'll stick with the Tippman Boss I was thinking of buying on Monday. I see they're on sale for $1,195.00 for the summer. Thanks again for all the replies.Bud
