BruceGibson Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 Mighty fine work, Jeff. I like 'em both. Quote "Don't squat with your spurs on." www.GibsonLeather.com
Billsotx Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 Besides metal you can use delrin for support. Plenty of it comes to us in packages we buy. It's that senior proof plastic you wrestle with everyday :-) ... buy it whether you like it or not. My awl likes it better ... and you can tell your clients your holsters are laminated with space age plastic - or is it another man's trash ...lol! You can stiffen up mouth bands and belt loops and belts; better stuck in a good holster or belt made better, than swirling in the Pacific Ocean and gagging a fish. One just scrounges what works, and come to think of it you could put it in a scourge but that goes over on the adult side of this board ... lol! Quote

Members BOOMSTICKHolsters Posted September 16, 2008 Author Members Report Posted September 16, 2008 Thanks again, guys. billsotx, your use of plastic has me intrigued (and maybe even a little bit frightened). I wouldn't have thought of that particular material, but I could see how much time I could save by using it.... Quote

Members BOOMSTICKHolsters Posted September 19, 2008 Author Members Report Posted September 19, 2008 Here's another pancake style holster just for fun. This one is a 15 degree cant all black holster with hidden belt loops and a matching mag holder all for a P7. Quote
BruceGibson Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 Holy sh$% that's beautiful!! That needs its own stand-alone post. I'm gonna go back to the ol' drawing board and see if I can't teach myself to make a holster. Well done, my friend. Quote "Don't squat with your spurs on." www.GibsonLeather.com
Members okie44 Posted September 20, 2008 Members Report Posted September 20, 2008 That really is a great looking holster! However, I wish you would stop talking about that P-7 because it makes me extremely jealous! HA! They're very hard to find around here, but that's OK, cause I couldn't afford one anyway. I really enjoy seeing how all you guys make holsters, and have already learned a bunch. Thanks John Quote
