Hi All,

i am attending a Masked Party this month and decided to make my own. Well, i had so much fun doing it , i went off on a tangent. The "captured my heart is the one i made for the party. What do you think of them? Hoping to get as good as Roo someday. LOL, ok , i said HOPING! We all need a goal!

Sure looks like you found something that suits you right because they express lot's of joy and some happy hours of molding and painting.

Where did you get the face mold? I could use one of those! You're masks are awesome!

Thanks Hellcat,

The mold is from a styrofoam maniquin head. Shotgunwilllie found it for me , Cut it in half and mounted it to a piece of plywood. It is perfect for mask making. i will warn you tho, as Roo said , masks are addictive!

Kimber, if you want your masks to have an even better fit, try to find a trainee hairdressers head. They are full size and you can get both male and female heads. They come with a full head of hair that the trainees practice on, after all the hair is cut off they are not much use to the hairdressers. These heads have a much more realistic shape to the face especially the nose. I found on the styrofoam heads the nose is not right and the mask tends to not sit quite right on a real person.
