HellcatLeathers Report post Posted September 14, 2008 Hi All, i am attending a Masked Party this month and decided to make my own. Well, i had so much fun doing it , i went off on a tangent. The "captured my heart is the one i made for the party. What do you think of them? Hoping to get as good as Roo someday. LOL, ok , i said HOPING! We all need a goal! Take care , kimber Where did you get the face mold? I could use one of those! You're masks are awesome!
kimberangel Report post Posted September 15, 2008 Thanks Hellcat, The mold is from a styrofoam maniquin head. Shotgunwilllie found it for me , Cut it in half and mounted it to a piece of plywood. It is perfect for mask making. i will warn you tho, as Roo said , masks are addictive! happy molding, kimber
leatheroo Report post Posted September 15, 2008 Kimber, if you want your masks to have an even better fit, try to find a trainee hairdressers head. They are full size and you can get both male and female heads. They come with a full head of hair that the trainees practice on, after all the hair is cut off they are not much use to the hairdressers. These heads have a much more realistic shape to the face especially the nose. I found on the styrofoam heads the nose is not right and the mask tends to not sit quite right on a real person.
