Hi guys im new here!!

Ok here need some help recently bought a yamata fy5318 new in thr box.got it home assembled it got it ready to go(so I thought).I figured id do a few practice pieces but the needle wont catch the bobbin thread. I dont know if the timing is off or the tension is off or if I bought a lemon lol.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We have one of those machines and I don't want to jinx myself but it has been a good machine the 4 years that we have had it..We use it for sewing softer leather with. Is this your first machine ? You can read the manual or look all over the internet about it I am sure but if you are new to machines maybe it is best for someone to show you the basics to get started..

The manual is in another language lol. an you might be right its my first new machine I went wyotech some yrs back for upholstery.now im trying to get back into it.
