Members Yetiusmc Posted August 26, 2013 Members Report Posted August 26, 2013 Here are some pictures of a quiver I recently made for a friend. He is in Japan and wanted a Samurai carved in it. He gave me full run on what I wanted to do, so I did. I did the inlay with sea snake, as I used to see them there all the time when diving there. The dark brown is Horween chromexcel 8-9 oz, and the carved portion is Herman Oak 8-9 oz. If you get a chance to work with the chromeexcel, I suggest it. It is so very nice, and it is already about as waterproof as you can get! I tried loading more pictures, but it is giving me fits! Comments/criticism is welcome! Quote

Members olds cool Posted August 27, 2013 Members Report Posted August 27, 2013 Beautiful work. Love the coloring. The white snake skin compliments it really well. Quote
Members Yetiusmc Posted August 28, 2013 Author Members Report Posted August 28, 2013 Thank you all very much! The snake skin is sea snake. I bought some a while back and glad I finally got to use some it! It is very subdued, but beautiful. Quote
Members user2013 Posted October 15, 2013 Members Report Posted October 15, 2013 I like how the background changes its color, very nice. Also the flower on the bottom! Quote
Members Undeadzombiehunter Posted October 15, 2013 Members Report Posted October 15, 2013 Gorgeous, as an archer, i would love something as well designed and beautifully crafted. You should be very proud of it. i would hang it on the wall as a display piece. How many beers does it hold ? Quote
Members Yetiusmc Posted October 18, 2013 Author Members Report Posted October 18, 2013 I don't know how many beers it holds, but took over a case to make! Quote
