Lots of animals are constantly made into patterns, like Eagles, Fish, Deer, etc. But I was wondering if anyone has ever been able to put a panda or a penguin on a piece of leather. I know a couple people I'd like to make things for, and it'd be nice to put those on their projects, but I haven't been able to find any pictures that (at my level anyway) I could turn into a pattern.

Lavendara google penguin or panda coloring book pages and you'll be able to find some free ones to use and a lot will be too simple for you but a lot of these pages are very nicely detailed. Here is one link to pandas http://search.yahoo.com/search?fr=yhs-invalid&p=panda+coloring+pages I hope this helps. Cheryl

From my Microsoft home page, I searched for penguin and panda patterns and it brings up a topic of "picyures of-------", and tons of them there. Comical and authentic.

Hope this helps.

God Bless.

Thank you for the help. I had tried googling, but I hadn't tried looking for coloring pages. Though, I'm not sure why there'd BE coloring pages for a black and white animal.... there's no coloring TO BE DONE on most of them... (especially ones without a background).

You get to color in the black areas and depending on the type of Penguin there may be a little yellow or orange.

I have to agree with Cheryl, coloring book images are possibly your best source.

I had mentioned it a while back about Dover Coloring Books in a thread over here...

Coloring books are an excellent source for patterns as they have done most of the work by converting it to line drawings already, but my personal favorites are the ones from Dover. The quality is top notch and the selection is mind-bogglingly wide.

I did a quick search through their page and found these listing pages for Penguins and Pandas...

Penguins:

Pandas:

The other option is to use Google Image Search for Penguins and Pandas. Separately, of course.

I hope this helps.

Set the image search filter to "line drawings"...

Assuming Google search, search for 'penguin', then click on images. Then 'More tools', then 'Line drawing'.
