francesca Report post Posted September 24, 2008 Hi, these are the pictures of the articles that a leather artisan from Buenos Aires, Argentina, makes. He's the father of a very good friend of mine and I thought you'd like to see his work. He started designing and creating things with leather since 1950. He is now 75 years old and, with his wife, he is still making leather handcrafts with the same old tools, but improving his technique, style and tidiness. Davy Report post Posted September 25, 2008 Well , you said feel free to ask . Heres a question . When he folds the wallet outer to the wallet insert , does he fold neat , then sew and then its finished , or does he fold with excess material on the wallet outer , then trim the excess off after its sewn ? His work is very neat indeed . Please give him my compliments !

francesca Report post Posted September 25, 2008 very nice! doesn't look like he needs to improve on anything to me! You see??? The thing is that he´s an old expert man and he´ve been creating leather articles, a little obsessed with the neatness, the comfyness and the usefullness of what he designs and creates. He works meticulously on every step, so he is always improving himself in these aspects. Thanks
