electrathon Report post Posted November 30, 2013 Overall for a beginner your work looks good (hence the above comments). I think you are referring to the tooled/bevel marks around the perimeter of the carving. The main answer is "the angle and how hard you hit your tools". A little bit of tipping makes a lot of difference. Also, some tools have a slightly different shape to the face and that slight difference matters a lot.
