Sylvia Report post Posted December 5, 2013 Hi Danton: Thank you for the tutorial. The only suggestion I would have... learned from doing clothing tie dye is to make sure that the dyes are applied from the lightest color to the darkest color. For example. Start with yellow, then add the red, blue, brow, black... etc. Also, did you use true leather dies or pigments dissolved in some sort of solvent? (water, alchohol?) (water, alchohol?) hI Sylvia YES, for clothing, it begins from light to dark, actually for leather it is the same way, if you have knowledge of color matching, that will be great! But anyhow, it is a very easy way, you can do what you want, just control the thickness and color of the dye, that's all, certainly, different way to tie you will have different effect, that's all due to you I use alcohol, later I will write a tutorial that use salt base dye-----paste dye... They are both the ways that I like best!
