Finally made something of that shipping pallet oak.

Now i just have to make a cushion for it.

Might also want to put a spring in there to make the jaws open when tension is released.....Just a suggestion

That's a beautiful piece of white oak. The figure is a perfect example of why I believe there may be equivalent exotic woods from around the world, but none better. Nice pony.

Very nice work. I especially like the adjustable "tension rack" not sure of that's the right word for it. I'm sure that will get some good use out of it

I'd be glad to, but I just kinda ad libbed the design from the book "the art of hand sewing leather" by Al Stohlman. The only difference being that the base is welded steel box tube. I cannot recommend that book enough, it has helped me immeasurably.
