Cecil Posted January 21, 2008 Report Posted January 21, 2008 (edited) This project was two firsts for me. It is the first time I have used multiple shades off color on a piece and the first time I have used a Mexican basket weave - round braid to lace a project. I would appreciate any suggestions for improving next time. Edited January 21, 2008 by Cecil Quote
Members rawhide1 Posted January 21, 2008 Members Report Posted January 21, 2008 Cecil I think the buckle turned out great. I like the shading on the elk and although I don't do edge braiding I think that looks good as well. Thanks for sharing. Mike Quote
Froghunter Posted January 22, 2008 Report Posted January 22, 2008 Looks GREAT Cecil!!! Even better in person!!!! Keep up the wonderful work my friend! Quote
Ambassador Beaverslayer Posted January 22, 2008 Ambassador Report Posted January 22, 2008 Cecil, the buckle looks real good, the only thing you have to work on is the ending of your lacing. I notice that you missed the last one, and theres a funny bump where you did your start/end. I'll find a picture I have of how this is done and send it to you. Ken Quote

howardb Posted January 23, 2008 Report Posted January 23, 2008 Cecil, I like the tooling. Great work! I think I would have enlarged the image so it was just the head & antlers; less shoulder. But that's me. Brent Quote
Cecil Posted February 1, 2008 Author Report Posted February 1, 2008 Here's that picture I told you about. Ken Thanks Ken. I was so slow at responding because my system failed last week and I had to replace it. I have been in a recovery mode. Thanks again. Quote
