This project was two firsts for me. It is the first time I have used multiple shades off color on a piece and the first time I have used a Mexican basket weave - round braid to lace a project. I would appreciate any suggestions for improving next time.

I think the buckle turned out great. I like the shading on the elk and although I don't do edge braiding I think that looks good as well. Thanks for sharing. Mike

Cecil, the buckle looks real good, the only thing you have to work on is the ending of your lacing. I notice that you missed the last one, and theres a funny bump where you did your start/end. I'll find a picture I have of how this is done and send it to you.

I like the tooling. Great work! I think I would have enlarged the image so it was just the head & antlers; less shoulder. But that's me.
