Red Cent Report post Posted February 10, 2014 Here is something you guys and gals don't see very much. The belt was made for a top shooter in SASS and is from around here. Red River Ray shoots a SxS and wanted a belt with 3/8" between each shell. Aligns the rounds when he pulls two. Thumb and middle finger with forefinger on top of the shells. Elastic loops. Elastic sewn, shell rail sewn, fold the 4 1/2" leather rectangle and sew from top of one side down to the bottom, across the bottom and back up the other side. Red Cent Report post Posted February 13, 2014 Floats. Need to do a neater job or maybe rivets. Discussing the keeper with other cowboys, I found that a fixed keeper close to the belt causes a lot of wear and tear and effort. Lazy. huh? The floating keeper works very well with the wide straight belt (not ranger). Once you buckle up and slide the keeper on to cinch, it stays. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

The CCW belts we make are very heavy duty and we use fixed keepers, and it can be a challenge to thread the belt through the keeper until it gets broken in -- and it takes a while to get it broken in.
