MonicaJacobson Report post Posted February 26, 2014 Just finished this bag, except for the maker's mark, which my husband says he's making for me. I guess I'll add it later. It is really bad form to sew it on? I had hoped to stamp the simple text into veg tanned, sew on one of these little machined buttons my husband made for me, and sew the lot onto the bag. Bad idea? Anyway, this is Austin 8 - 9 oz leather, over the shoulder backpack style. Thanks for looking, Monica

scootinnc Report post Posted February 26, 2014 Very nice bag and I love the asymmetrical flap on the front! What kind of leather is that and where did you source it?
MonicaJacobson Report post Posted February 26, 2014 Thank you guys! I'm trying to be less impatient and a bit more thorough. Scoot, thank you, and it's called "Austin" leather, and I got it from Tandy. They also have it in black and a rather gorgeous gray that I really want to try. I know there are some good online sources for leather, but I haven't had the gumption to order something sight unseen yet.
