tiggertlee Report post Posted February 27, 2014 Hi there! After a couple of design iterations, my wallet holster design is nearly complete. A buddy of mine is field testing it hope to have feedback in a couple of weeks, see how it holds up to real field use... I have a couple of cool features, added a brace strap to help with the thumb extraction. Also used screws so the holster can go from lefty to righty (and back again) by the end user....or they can ditch the wallet portion all together if they need to. I've tested this design with the LCP, TCP and Sig p238, all seem to wear well (even tho the pinky extension on the TCP does poke out a bit, the regular mag does not). Should work with other models just need some more blue guns (Or the real things lol) Not sure the design could handle a revolver or bigger gun than that.... Any feedback or critique is welcome! robertmeco Report post Posted February 28, 2014 Not bad how is the retention the pocket holster needs to have retention. Where did you get the idea for this type holster. Robert www.mecopocketholsters.com
tiggertlee Report post Posted February 28, 2014 I picked up the dummy gun from knifekits.com site. It is pretty cool it has the trigger guard filled in and the sight channel filled in as well. Resulted in a very tight fit! I saw one of the big names (don't recall which) with a similar design at a show....like the anti print concept didn't like some other features, sat down with some buddies that carry who gave some input...one is a lefty who likes to complain about lack of lefty gun support so that produced the reversible idea lol... camano ridge Report post Posted February 28, 2014 (edited) The dummy guns sold by knifekits.com are made by the Multi holster company and are calle Multi Gun Molds. They are specifically made as holster molds and have sight tracks and other refinments for molding holsters. THey are a little more expensive about $60.00. However you save labor in not having to modify them. http://www.multiholsters.com/Molds.htm Edited February 28, 2014 by camano ridge

tiggertlee Report post Posted March 5, 2014 Thanks everyone for your feedback...pretty fun project to see if I could "eyeball" and add to a design.. After a week+ of testing the fit/retention from the MultiGun mold is dead on. I may have to pick up some more models!
malabar Report post Posted March 14, 2014 One question: Why not cover the entire grip area? tk
