Members Andies Tack Posted April 3, 2014 Members Report Posted April 3, 2014 (edited) Hi Everyone Been busy lately, and taking a break for a few minutes. Thought I'd drop by and show a few new items I've made recently. Everything is completely made by hand, and since I don't have a sewing machine, it is all hand stitched. My fashion model was being a Brat yesterday, but finally let me get a few new pictures. lol This is my little Rodeo mare, Jewel wearing her new Black Caiman Hide Set.... My father is a custom knife maker, and here's a few new sheaths I just finished for him. The inlays are Beaver Tails that I tanned myself. Here's some of my new Saddle Pad Corners.... Members WScott Posted April 4, 2014 Members Report Posted April 4, 2014 Nice looking sheaths and tack. Some good tooling and stitching there Your horse has some spunk too! Quote
Members Alvetjarn Posted April 4, 2014 Members Report Posted April 4, 2014 Nice things! I like that you tan yourself!!! Quote
Members GamberLeathercrafter Posted April 4, 2014 Members Report Posted April 4, 2014 Very nice work Andie, I'm like you, all my things are hand sewn. I've had two nice machines and had nothing but trouble with them so I decided to continue to sew by hand, it looks a lot better anyway and people like it more. Quote

Members Andies Tack Posted April 12, 2014 Author Members Report Posted April 12, 2014 Thank you everyone. Yes, Capsterdog, Jewel is a big brat at times. lol...She has so much personality. She is just like her daddy. I lost him at Thanksgiving to colic and had to put him down, and Jewel is so much like Faster was. I see so much of him in her. Quote
Members Andies Tack Posted April 12, 2014 Author Members Report Posted April 12, 2014 I got this yesterday afternoon when it almost bit my little girl while she was watering the horses....It has also just shed it's skin so the colors are so pretty! She's gonna make a really pretty headstall, and when I get more rattlers I'm gonna make the matching breastcollar, halter, pad corners, tie down noseband, bracelet, etc. I finished my first stingray project a few days ago, and it turned out even prettier than I thought it was going to. I'm stitching the headstall now. Quote

Thank you ....Actually I have only been doing this a few months. I started tinckering with the scraps from my dad making knife sheaths. I started making horse tack in October, and started my business in November. I've always been lucky because I can see a picture of something and make it. Quote
