pnj Report post Posted December 6, 2015 I used 2/3 ounce for the inside and outside pieces. It's my daily wallet and besides being poorly sewn, I really like the way it functions. You should be fine with your 2 ounce bison leather. Thank you very much, it is very generous of you. Some folks have been charging for their paper templates.I'm a beginner, this will be my first wallet.I have some 2oz American Bisons leather that I am going to use. I hope it won't be to thick. Can someone give me some feed back on what to use for the interior pieces. I don't have a splitter and I don't want to buy a big piece of leather. I am not sure what to do. Wdfd908 Report post Posted June 21, 2016 First off...thank you for template! I just made my first wallet out of 2-2.5 oz Asian Buffalo. It came out beautifully. I cut out all the pieces and then rubbed them with neatsfoot oil. Once assembled, I put three coats of neatsfoot and beeswax on the outside and one on the inside. The thread is .40 from Maine Thread Company. A couple things to note: 1) yes I overglued. And 2) I do not discriminate on scratches, brands, bug bites, etc. enjoy!
