Why A Moderator's Authorization?

OK, I responded to a questioning newby asking about 'waterproof' leather dye. All of a sudden a little box pops up and advises that my post must be authorized by a moderator. WHY??? Thank you --- katsass (Mike)

because said newby wrongly posted their question in the "help wanted" area instead of the "how do i do that?" area. afaik, all "help wanted" posts in that section have to be "approved".
