AndyL1 Posted April 28, 2014 Report Posted April 28, 2014 (edited) Hi all, I have a request to make a kilt belt for a new customer. The buckle he found has a tab on the back instead of a pin. The buckle came from Scottish Trading Company and the belts they offer for sale appear to have like a wire that this buckle would connect with. Have a look here: http://www.scottishtradingcompany.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=118_119&products_id=785 Does anyone know where I could get this hardware for the belt to work? Otherwise I was thinking of just making the holes sized to the tab and it could hook into the belt like normal. Thanks, Andy UPDATE: Well found the hardware at Le Prevo: http://www.leprevo.co.uk/d%27s_o%27s_steel.htm#rectangles (kilt loop welded, bottom of page) but they are £5.94 for ten. Hmmm... maybe something I can make or use a metal slide instead? Edited April 28, 2014 by AndyL1 Quote Blackthorn Leather on Etsy • Blackthorn Leather on Facebook
Members Squilchuck Posted April 4, 2016 Members Report Posted April 4, 2016 Did you ever find a US source for those kilt belt attachment loops, or a good substitute? I have a request to make a kilt belt and have had the same problem. Maybe I will try to make one. Quote
