Members 3wunder Posted May 5, 2014 Members Report Posted May 5, 2014 (edited) Hello! After being a long-time lurker on the forums, I'm finally ready to take one step forward and show off one of my works. It's a medieval girdle purse for my girlfriend, not quite authentic, but I think it'll compliment her reseda green and brown reenactment dress nicely. The things I don't like about it are the knifework and the beveling on the flap and around the decorative opening in the belt loop. Other than that, I'm pretty happy with it, especially with the stitching and the hue of my homemade red leather dye. Hope you like it! Cheers, Adam Edited May 5, 2014 by 3wunder Quote

Members 3wunder Posted May 7, 2014 Author Members Report Posted May 7, 2014 Thanks everyone, I'm glad you like it! That looks great, Adam! I bet your girlfriend loves it! Well, at least she said so. She's actually my best advertiser. Whenever she can she shows off the stuff I made for her. I really like it and so does my wife! Where did you get the buckle from? Bruce, I ordered the buckle from a German online shop that sells reenactment supplies. It was either http://lederkram.de/ or http://www.reenactors-shop.de/index.php I'm sure there's plenty of sellers in the US where you can get the same kind or something similar. Here's yet another shot of the purse with a matching knife sheath I made for myself. Quote
