Hello! After being a long-time lurker on the forums, I'm finally ready to take one step forward and show off one of my works. It's a medieval girdle purse for my girlfriend, not quite authentic, but I think it'll compliment her reseda green and brown reenactment dress nicely.

The things I don't like about it are the knifework and the beveling on the flap and around the decorative opening in the belt loop. Other than that, I'm pretty happy with it, especially with the stitching and the hue of my homemade red leather dye.

Hope you like it!

Cheers,

Adam

Well, at least she said so. :spoton: She's actually my best advertiser. Whenever she can she shows off the stuff I made for her.

Bruce, I ordered the buckle from a German online shop that sells reenactment supplies. It was either http://lederkram.de/ or http://www.reenactors-shop.de/index.php

I'm sure there's plenty of sellers in the US where you can get the same kind or something similar.

Here's yet another shot of the purse with a matching knife sheath I made for myself.
