Members chiefjason Posted May 10, 2014 Members Report Posted May 10, 2014 Great looking rigs. I do have a question, are you pressing or hand molding? Just curious. there are many ways to do the job and all of them are right if you do a neat job of it. Well said and very true. After trying a number of things I settled on a 1 9/16" Sz 1 French Skiving knife by CSO. I like that it cuts through more than punches through. Those slots do look fantastic BTW. Quote
Frank Posted May 11, 2014 Report Posted May 11, 2014 Nice work as always Josh Quote Never argue with a stupid person. They'll just drag you down to their level and beat you with experience!!
Members Josh Ashman Posted May 12, 2014 Author Members Report Posted May 12, 2014 Thanks Frank & Chief Jason! I hand mold, thumbs then a Osborne leather working hammer (the little smooth face one). Sometimes I'll use a modeling spoon but I generally don't. Best regards, Josh Quote
Members chiefjason Posted May 13, 2014 Members Report Posted May 13, 2014 Thanks. I hand mold as well. I have not made up my mind on presses, but I'm getting good results without one so I'm sticking with it for now. Quote
