Leather Shop Closed, Things For Sale

Good morning.

I have bought a building which had up until 3 years ago been operated as a leather shop. It has riveting machines, punch out machines, cutting machines, skiving machines, pretty much everything needed to manufacture horse halters, leashes. leads, etc. It not only has all the machinery, it has 1,000's of pieces of hardware (rivets, caps, o-rings, d-rings, square rings, buckles in numerous sizes (brass and nickel plated), most of the buckles, if not all, are made by a company called North & Judd.

There is also 1,000's of pieces of hardward like snaps, latches, swivels, snap bolts, etc.

And not to mention the 1,000's of pieces of inventory like chains for leashes, horse halters, dog collars, strips of leather which were never finished...well you get tthe idea. If anyone is interested in some of this, please let me know. We have just begun loading some of this stuff on eBay, but if someone in the business can use it that would be great. I am going to begin a Drop Box page with some of the pictures and will post an update shortly with that link.

Can you give us some idea of prices, what do you have listed on ebay and under what seller ID. As to hardware you could probably sell a lot of it here quickly if you gave us an idea of what you had and price.

Mostly all the buckles are North and Judd, in their original boxes. There are numerous sizes and finishes. I will get a complete inventory this afternoon and update tonight the exact size and finish.

The snaps, latches, swivel hooks, etc. are from a variety of companies, mostly from one called Covert Square Brand. Again I will update everything tonight.

I will also add, and I do not know how they got into this part of the business, but there is a lot of horse halters (over 700 Valhoma Brand alone) which we are trying to find a home for. There are also a few boxes of leather cow halters, livestock leads, etc.

As I mentioned, this is just scratching the surface of what is here. As far as a price goes, we want to move it, but we don't want to give it away. We will certainly beat any price out there and if someone wanted a bunch we would definately work a deal. As far as the machinery goes..... I don't have a price because I do not know the value. We are still trying to figure out what it is worth, but if anyone would like to makae an offer I would love to hear it. I think it is a bit like pornography.....I don't know how to describe it, but I know it when I see it.
