Members Fredo Posted June 5, 2014 Members Report Posted June 5, 2014 (edited) Or "The Cobbler Has No Shoes" You all know how it is, you never seem to have time for your own projects. On and off I guess this has been set aside for about a year now. Not quite done and the belt is one I made about 3 yrs ago. 1911 full size, hand stitched holster and belt with liner and stiffiner. Members jbossartcustomgunleather Posted June 5, 2014 Members Report Posted June 5, 2014 Looks great! Congrats! I know how you feel, I make nice holsters and in the mail they go! I still don't have anything nice for my own pistols. Quote
Members Colt Hammerless Posted June 5, 2014 Members Report Posted June 5, 2014 That's really nice! Hand stitched a belt 3 years ago huh? Do your hands still hurt from it? :-) I know exactly what you guys mean. In fact I use the same cobbler line when telling people about my own lack of really nice gear. Every time I send something out the door that's made for a gun that I also have, I sigh, and say "Man, I wish I had something this nice." Then in the box it goes. Paul Quote

Members Colt W Knight Posted June 7, 2014 Members Report Posted June 7, 2014 I own 5 pistols, and I don't have a real holster for any of them. Nice work. Quote
Members SteelcityK9Cop Posted June 12, 2014 Members Report Posted June 12, 2014 All my holsters come from the "Ooops Box". Quote
Members TexasJack Posted June 12, 2014 Members Report Posted June 12, 2014 My personal stuff is usually the prototype version - I'll try something to see how well it turns out. Then I make a nice one and that one winds up going to someone else. So the sheaths, phone holders, and holsters that are mine have glue marks, missing stitches, moved stitches, mis-matched stamping, etc. Quote
