Very nice indeed! I LOVE the idea of using the pen as clasp. That's something I've never seen before.

Thanks! Unfortunately I can not claim the idea. We were at Hobby Lobby and they had a cheaper version of this and my mom liked it, I said , I can make you a better one... We picked out a piece of leather with a lot of grain at tandy.... And this one was born. I am happy with how it turned out.

Oooohh, this is beautiful. I agree, using the pen as the clasp is a great idea. I am definitely going to try this. I also like the curve you have in the top flap, your design flows so nicely around the whole journal. Your Mom must be so pleased.
