Coin purse

Well tried the Stohlman style here from his book, Projects and designs. First try at this stuff and it came out allright. Finish wasnt as nice as I had hoped for but lacing turned out decent. Wasnt the best leather and I hadnt carved anything in a while combined with still learning so I had several issues getting it to look decent on the carving area.

Gonna be given to the girlfriends mom since she will actually put it to good use.

Looks good to me! What color did you use for the dye? Like the lacing too.

I made one a while ago and it didn't turn out half that good. But my wife carries it in her purse and uses it every day.

It was actually OX blood I believe, the feibings dye.

Thanks, I made a second one that turned out a little better but screwed up on something (cant remember what lol) and it went into the bin, I was really bummed. Ahh well.

These little coin purses are pretty cool and theres so many different ways of doing it.
