Hello Everyone,

Here is a iPhone Holster Case I made out of Horween Black Essex. I made this style case because I hate how bulky a phone in a case feels in your pocket.

I hope you guys like it!

Joe

That is a good looking serviceable product. Stitching looks nice.

Thanks Rohn! This project was a lot of fun. I didn't really make a template or anything. Just kind of winged it. I'm really happy with the result!

Clean and beautiful... I've been thinking about covering snaps lately. The look of your round stitching on the snap backing convinced me. Love it.

Thanks Grumpy! Yeah the back of the snap is sandwiched between the leather washer and the front of the case so no metal is touching the phone. Its actually really easy to stitch in a circle. I used a 2 prong pricking iron to make the holes.

Looks good! I like the way you handled the snap using a simple leather round. It looks simple and elegant.

Thanks Billy! I pulled it out of the Valerie Michael book. She put the washer on the inside but I wanted the phone to slide in and out easily and just figured it would get hung up on the washer so I put it on the outside instead.

A couple of thoughts just occurred to me. Depending on how you use your phone, you might want to poke a hold for the headphone jack so that you can listen while it's in the case. For that matter, a little add on headphone case for when you're not using them might be cool! Also, a hole lined up with the speaker might be helpful for hearing ring/notifications, etc unless you always use vibrate mode.

These are all awesome ideas. I am a very simple phone user. I think the only reason I have an iPhone is my wife got an upgrade and I got her old one! LOL. However, for someone else who listens to a lot of music on their phone these features would be a necessity for sure.

Very nice work. I like how you put the snap on as well. I wish I had seen this earlier when I was making an IPad cover. I will definitely try it on my next project. Thank you for the idea.

Thank you very much! I can't take full credit as I took the idea from the Valerie Michael book. I cant' wait to see what you come up with!

Nice clean case.

I've been thinking about making one for my EVO.

I really like that design.

Simple, clean & servicable, good stitching. It should last a lot longer than the phone. And most of all, it's an individual, stand out style. Templates don't matter sometimes when an idea hits you.
