Members SteveBrambley Posted October 25, 2008 Author Members Report Posted October 25, 2008 I gather from his very neat attire he was the overseer!Tony. Hi, No, as far as I know, it was a 'one-man' business, at this time, and he had no employees. I remember him well, in his latter years, he always dressed immaculately in a suit, similar to the one in the photo (but more modern); over this suit he always wore a long, brown, overall coat, which, I guess, he took off for the photo. Moderator Johanna Posted October 25, 2008 Moderator Report Posted October 25, 2008 It was his shop, with his name on the door. He presented himself as a businessman. Some of us have gotten too casual and give stuff away before we sell it at a fair price, then we're out of business, and back to our day jobs. Steve's grandfather knew he had to earn and keep his customer's respect, or he'd be out of business. He was a very handsome man. Look how full his windows are- he did a fair amount of business, I would say! Thanks for sharing. Johanna Quote
