Members rmr Posted August 20, 2014 Members Report Posted August 20, 2014 Just finished this range bag to hold shooting accessories. Made from bison and lined with light weight veg tan RMR Quote
Members Dan28 Posted August 20, 2014 Members Report Posted August 20, 2014 Pretty cool. What are those rivets that look like they are going though washers? I don't recall ever seeing those before. Quote
Members rmr Posted August 20, 2014 Author Members Report Posted August 20, 2014 They are the brass end of 12 g shotgun shells ( after being fired) that were sawn off and the rivet placed through them- more for looks than anything else Quote
Members MonicaJacobson Posted August 20, 2014 Members Report Posted August 20, 2014 Well, it looks awesome, but my browser won't load the bigger pictures. Very annoying! Quote
Members Dan28 Posted August 20, 2014 Members Report Posted August 20, 2014 (edited) That is a pretty cool detail especially since its a range bag. I think I've seen some snaps on Springfield Leather that are in that fashion. Guess you would want to fire it first, or you would be in for a nice surprise when you go to punch that hole in the cap. I had problems loading the pictures too (with Firefox) to view them, I quoted the original post, then right clicked on the image links in the quote and copied the image location and opened the link in a new tab. Members rmr Posted August 20, 2014 Author Members Report Posted August 20, 2014 I uploaded these from my ipad. Will try to re- upload them from the home computer tonight- not sure why they are such a large file Quote
Members Dan28 Posted August 20, 2014 Members Report Posted August 20, 2014 You know what, I may be able to help. Probably should have just done this rather than explain the convoluted process I went through to view them. http://leatherworker.net/forum/index.php?app=core&module=attach§ion=attach&attach_rel_module=post&attach_id=90701 http://leatherworker.net/forum/index.php?app=core&module=attach§ion=attach&attach_rel_module=post&attach_id=90703 http://leatherworker.net/forum/index.php?app=core&module=attach§ion=attach&attach_rel_module=post&attach_id=90702 Quote
Members MonicaJacobson Posted August 20, 2014 Members Report Posted August 20, 2014 LOL, Dan, thank you so much. I thought it was only my computer, since you guys didn't seem to have any trouble. And RMR, that is one of the coolest looking bags I've ever seen. Thanks for posting pictures of it! Quote
Members TXAG Posted August 20, 2014 Members Report Posted August 20, 2014 Did you hand sew that? Quote
Members rmr Posted August 20, 2014 Author Members Report Posted August 20, 2014 mostly with a machine. Some places are hand stitched where I couldn't get machine to "fit" Quote
