Members Halitech Posted September 6, 2014 Members Report Posted September 6, 2014 Wedding album I just finished as a gift for my cousin getting married in 2 weeks time. It's made in 3 pieces with each cover being outer layer of 8-9oz veg tanned, layer of stiffener then lined with 3-4oz. The spline is also made from 8-9oz and lined with 2oz glazed pigskin. Finished in Saddle Tan antique and then the edges were done in the Mexican round braid. Special thanks to Chief for his youtube video on doing the corners and splicing in new lace. The images on the front were "borrowed" images from a google search (I have 0 artistic ability when it comes to drawing) Quote Every day you learn something is a good day. If you don't learn something every day, was it worth waking up for?

This is a treasure they can have and share for many decades, a real work of art. Thanks for sharing, Chief Quote "Life's too short to carry ugly leather"
Members Halitech Posted September 7, 2014 Author Members Report Posted September 7, 2014 thank you Chief, it was your work that inspired me to do the Mexican Round braid on it and it's high praise coming from you that you think it's a work of art :notworthy: Quote Every day you learn something is a good day. Members OdinUK Posted September 8, 2014 Members Report Posted September 8, 2014 Excellent work. The braid looks especially good and helps to 'finish' it off. I hope that mine will turn out as nice. Quote Lord Of Leather
