Members Nightshade Posted September 9, 2014 Members Report Posted September 9, 2014 Does anyone know if there is a manufacturer that makes stainless double cap rivets similar in size to the Ohio Travel Bag 510/512D? Even if its just the skin on the cap that's stainless and the posts are mild steel. And any manufacturers of the imitation roller buckle, Weaver Leather #923, in stainless? The nickel plating in recent years tarnishes too quickly. Quote

Members Colt W Knight Posted January 10, 2015 Members Report Posted January 10, 2015 Mcmaster Carr carries these Stainless Steel Rivets, but I don't know if they will work for your application. http://www.mcmaster.com/#standard-rivets/=veb3hc Quote
Members vunm Posted March 7, 2015 Members Report Posted March 7, 2015 stainless rivet and bucke is expensive Quote
Members BIGGUNDOCTOR Posted March 8, 2015 Members Report Posted March 8, 2015 They may be more expensive, but when you want to make a quality product you don't use inferior parts. I am surprised the nickel is tarnishing. It was used for brightwork on cars before chrome was in widespread use. Is it having a reaction to the leather, or leather finish? Quote
