Its got to be something simple, but I'm just not getting it!! Help?! The function seems to be working..... It may be a forum setting for newer users. On some forums I've been on a minimum # of posts is required to 'unlock' certain features. This is done as a precaution against spammers and bots; that may be the case here. cdthayer Report post Posted January 26, 2015 Thanks for that information TwinOaks. Maybe that explains why the quote quit working for me a few months ago. I tried to quote your post, and got a blank text field. I haven’t posted much in the past year or so, partly because I can no longer quote text that I want shown with my response or question.CD in Oklahoma
TwinOaks Report post Posted January 26, 2015 I thought that might be the case with Fitabull, as she only has 3 posts. I don't know why yours would quit working. I guess it's time to flag down some of the IT folks...
Northmount Report post Posted January 26, 2015 (edited) We need more information to figure out what is happening. What browser are you using, what operating system, tablet, PC, Mac, phone. Might be able to replicate what is happening. I don't know the ins and outs of the forum server software, so Johanna would have to look at that side of it. Something's have no obvious solution because there are so many variables.Tom You can ignore this post unless the instructions in post #6 don't work. CD in Oklahoma For this post, I selected "MultiQuote". While I was in the quick reply box, "no quotes" were shown. When I clicked on the "More Reply Options" button, then it displayed both quotes. I reviewed all my personal settings, but did not find any that would impact quotes or multiquotes. So that should not be part of the problem. Please try again now using "More Reply Options" and see if that makes any difference for you. I'm pretty sure it will. Tom

CD in Oklahoma Which version of IE? I normally use Firefox, but just tried IE 10 and it works for me too. So maybe some settings in your browser might need to be changed. Click on the gear in the upper right corner (for settings) and pick "internet options". On the security tab, for internet, I have "medium high", and protected mode enabled. On the privacy tab, I have "medium high", pop-up blocker is not checked so allows pop-ups. For IE add-ons, I have Java enabled. I think that Java is required for some of the options. So if you could check these settings and if they are different, try setting them the same as mine. I have suspicions that it is likely Java or pop-up blocking that may be the issue. Tom Edit: Later versions of IE give me a problem with remote access to my office so had to downgrade to IE 10. cdthayer Report post Posted January 28, 2015 Tom, I have IE11. I looked back through my posts here at LW and found that my quote problems began a little over a year ago.My browser settings are:Security: Medium High, protected mode enabled.Privacy: Medium, but my Popup Blocker is enabled. I added this site to be allowed, but it hasn’t made any difference. I’d like to keep the blocker on if I can.Java: For some reason, my Java wasn’t enabled, so I enabled that, but it hasn’t made any difference.I guess I’ll just have to live with it. It keeps me from babbling too much anyway.CD in Oklahoma
