Basically Bob Report post Posted February 26, 2015 Thought I would share a photo of my latest project. 7/8 oz veg tan Welt No rivets other than the snap The stitching for the strap and belt loop are protected with an inner leather patch to protect the stitching The inner snap hardware is covered with a leather patch to protect the blade This was my first belt knife sheath. MAN, that's a lot of fiddly work

Basically Bob Report post Posted February 26, 2015 Thanks, Plowboy73! I had a lot of fun making it. I put it together for a close friend of mine, who lives in northern Ontario. Her father gave her the knife when she was 11 and means a lot to her. it has seen a lot of use, for sure, and she still takes it on every canoe trip. It's a sweet little knife, just 7" from the butt to the tip of the blade. I am going to post a couple more pics, separately.
Basically Bob Report post Posted February 26, 2015 (edited) Here's a shot that shows the back and edge. I am really happy with the edge on the main body but not so happy with the edges on the strap. Edited February 26, 2015 by Basically Bob

silverbullet Report post Posted February 27, 2015 Very nice , brings back memories of a knife my father carried when rabbit hunting, he used it at least 40 years . The sheath stands out because his was like that not tooled as much but the leaf still shows up . Carried in his huntin coat gave it carracter and wear . At some point he resewed the edge with a piece of wire looped to make an edge. I've been tempted but won't ever change it . Thanks for the way you made it. Really good job hope it last forever. Wild Bill46 Report post Posted March 1, 2015 I like the shape, tooled design, and coloring of this sheath. Feels like a classic that you just don't want to part with. I believe she will cherish this piece forever. I know, I would ! Wild Bill46
