Knife Sheath: Scrap Bin Project #4

Recommended Posts

Continuing on with turning my 20 year old scrap bin leather into stuff for practice I decided to upgrade the sheath for my 36 year old, Nova Scotia made, Grohmann Knives skinner.

Having been absent from leather working for the past 20 years, this site has been very helpful as I relearn and now improve my skill set. That's the best edge finish I have ever done using a technique I read on this forum.

neither looks like scrap nor like 20 years old... actually it looks like selected for this specific use and finished really nice ;)
I like the design and the appearance of the sheath. Good work!

Thank you. The digging will continue. It a long way to the bottom of the bin.

As for the look, it been amazing what a bit of vinegar and water will do to clean the surface and what pure neetsfoot oils does to make it flex again.
