Modifying A Presser Foot On Consew 206.

Recommended Posts

Has anyone tried to grind the center foot on their walking foot machine. I find the center foot too long when trying to do detailed stitching and hoping this will solve the problem. Thoughts?

Depending on the material you are stitching the shorter foot may deter the leather from being moved through. Haven't tried that on my 206 but have done almost everything else.

Thanks for taking the time to reply, ferg.

Nothing crazy, just 2-3 oz upholstery leather. I"ll wait a few days to see if I get anymore feedback before I give it a shot.

We have the shorter center foot for the 206. Call me if you need one.

My 206 has a pretty short center foot. I would take Steve up on his shorter foot, so you will have both short and long if need arises.

Sorry for the late reply, Cobra Steve. I actually found this in one of my junk cabinets. Is yours similar or smaller?
