Members joesu88 Posted April 18, 2015 Members Report Posted April 18, 2015 Hi All, Didn't know about this until Monica mentioned it. Finished the pouch yesterday. Cheers. Quote
Members MonicaJacobson Posted April 28, 2015 Members Report Posted April 28, 2015 I made one of these for my sister-in-law to go with her black purse, but I couldn't just make a plain black coin purse after all of you made such nice ones, so I made two. First one is black horween, second one is Derby horween with a piece of ostrich I got with my caiman pack, and lined with veg tanned. 6spi, tiger thread. Members MonicaJacobson Posted April 29, 2015 Members Report Posted April 29, 2015 Thanks guys, I just barely got it done in time this month. As a side note, inlaying something soft makes the purse not work quite as well... oh well. Quote http://monicajacobson.com/ https://www.etsy.com/shop/TrimGoTrix?ref=si_shop
Members rundogdave Posted April 29, 2015 Members Report Posted April 29, 2015 My version of the coin purse. I like seeing all the different interpretations. It is inspiring. Looking forward to Friday for next month's challenge. Quote I am what I am, but I ain't what I used to be.
Members thefanninator Posted May 1, 2015 Author Members Report Posted May 1, 2015 I haven't had much time... I didn't quite finish and it's sloppy due to rushing. I'll post a photo. I'll also post May's challenge in a little while. Quote http://www.instagram.com/fannintexas/
cardinal leather Posted May 2, 2015 Report Posted May 2, 2015 Its not over until midnight right? used w/c latigo, kept it simple as possible since i started yesterday afternoon and sewed it prior to going to work this morning. Quote
Members thefanninator Posted May 2, 2015 Author Members Report Posted May 2, 2015 Nice Cardinal. Your curve cuts look really tight. I made the mistake of using an Exacto and it flexes so the curved part ends up slanted. Anyone else have suggestions or hints on cutting curves? Quote http://www.instagram.com/fannintexas/
cardinal leather Posted May 2, 2015 Report Posted May 2, 2015 i used a pair of serated sissiors from Tandy. One tool that was worth the 45.00 price tag. it will follow the pattern well but you have to guide it carefully as they will want to work into the curve and that will leave a flat spot. Quote
