What is your project, how big etc. A picture would be worth a thousand words.

I personally, have never sewn snakeskin, However (My geneious friend, as I call him) (sews it alot,

when he has it,) into his inlaid holsters and uses 5/32" or 7 stitches per inch Diamond Chisels.

Hope this is your answer ? ----------- Wild Bill46

Hi all, thanks for the responses.

It is a mini credit card case about 3 inches across and 4 inches up.

I was going to do 6 SPI

I'm still new to this and this was the first time ever doing inlay stitching.

Now next question to thread size, are you hand or machine stitching, what thread are you going to use. Tiger thread is flatter then the rounder poly thread from Tandy etc.

Hi,

I was going to hand stitch it, and I was going to use waxed nylon thread, I was looking online and it said you should use 277 thread.

I've always had trouble stitching because it ends up looking sloppy as a result of the thread being too bulky.
