Members BigMatt Posted May 11, 2015 Members Report Posted May 11, 2015 Well, it is finally finished! The black belting leather briefcase I started 3 weeks ago. I used a glazed black double butt meant for belts and Maine .030 black thread. The clasp is from Abbey England and everything else is from my local supplier. Quote
Members JAZZMAN Posted May 11, 2015 Members Report Posted May 11, 2015 Hi Bigmatt, that is absolutely fantastic, is it for yourself or a customer, unless your into leathercraft i do not think a lot of people realize how much work something like this takes,it truly is a work of art. I am also very jealous of your stitching pony.Take care. Quote
Members BigMatt Posted May 11, 2015 Author Members Report Posted May 11, 2015 Thanks, it was originally for a customer, but he backed out, so I guess it is for me. I have come to really like it though. I was partial to tan briefcases, but this has really grown on me in the last few weeks. It was a lot of work. I learned a lot and I am pretty sure I could knock another one out in 20-30 hours. Quote
Members BigMatt Posted May 11, 2015 Author Members Report Posted May 11, 2015 Update: I have a potential buyer for it. Since I posted it on my blog, someone contacted me about it and I think it is sold. Quote

Thor Posted May 11, 2015 Report Posted May 11, 2015 Sweet! Stupid customer, he'll kick himself once he sees the bag. Quote
Members MonicaJacobson Posted May 13, 2015 Members Report Posted May 13, 2015 Beautiful bag, Matt! Yeah, I was going to say, just because one customer backs out doesn't mean there aren't lots who would love that bag. Congrats. Quote
Members BigMatt Posted May 15, 2015 Author Members Report Posted May 15, 2015 Thanks Monica, we shall see. Quote
