boilernspector Report post Posted May 27, 2015 I have a Chandler C267 and a Corsew 266. I have an opportunity to trade one of these two machines for a Corsew 227 cylinder arm machine. All machines work as required and are in very good condition. Right now I'm using 2-6 oz leather for projects. Some projects can be done on the Chandler bed machine, but then other times I could use a cylinder arm machine. However, I don't need 2 bed machines.... Which one do I keep? Wizcrafts Report post Posted May 28, 2015 (edited) The Consew 226 has a reverse lever, which was lacking on its predecessor, the 225. It is a good average walking foot machine. It uses the same feet and needles as the newer Consew 206RB-5 and most typical walking foot machines. The bobbins may be smaller than the ones used in the 206, but they will be adequate for thread sizes up to #138 (wind 'em tightly). A Consew 227R, or a 227 equivalent, will be a nice addition.
