Members nowonder Posted November 24, 2008 Members Report Posted November 24, 2008 I'm looking for the best place to get a roo hide or two. To try my hand at a stock whip. Obviously I want a good quality with not to long to wait for it. Any help would be greatly appreciated (sp) Thanks Quote

Members Randy Cornelius Posted November 25, 2008 Members Report Posted November 25, 2008 I would also try Sheridan Leather Outfiters. Don't have the phone number handy but I think Vandy lerks around here. Members roo4u Posted November 25, 2008 Members Report Posted November 25, 2008 i would not buy roo from weaver leather. i bought from them for quite a while, then they changed suppliers and what they sell now is a dry leather realy not suitable for good braiding, and eats thru cutter blades like no other....im guessing its more like bookbinding leather or something like that. what you need is drumstuffed. charles hardtke has excellent roo in black, brandy, whiskey, saddletan, and natural. david morgan has good quality but very expensive. ive never purchased from sheridan.
