tashabear Posted February 4, 2009 Report Posted February 4, 2009 Hey guys, I emailed the photographer of the photo and he sent me a reply. This was the answer and a translation via computerGracias Corey por tus palabras. La foto llamada "Artesano" fue tomada en Santander (España) durante una feria de artesanía antigua hace dos años. Creo recordar que el artesano era argentino. Siento no poder daros mas detalles sobre esa persona. Un saludo Jose A Gallego Thanks Corey by your words.the called photo "Artisan" was taken in Santander (Spain) during a fair of old craft two years ago. I believe to recall that the artisan was Argentine.feel not to be able to give you but details on that person.a saludoJose TO Spaniard The last sentence is "I'm sorry not to be able to give you more details about this person." I guess I still read Spanish better than I speak, despite all my neighbors being native Spanish-speakers. Quote
MADMAX22 Posted February 4, 2009 Report Posted February 4, 2009 That is one cool thing about modern internet tech. Even though we didnt get much info on it since there was not much to give but the fact that I was able to instantly pretty much talk to someone that I didnt know in a different language half way round the globe is kind of amazing. Just think even 30yrs ago if I had tried to do that. Quote

A computer is a pretty amazing thing (when it works! ) Quote They say princes learn no art truly, but the art of horsemanship. The reason is, the brave beast is no flatterer. Members ChaChi Posted February 15, 2009 Members Report Posted February 15, 2009 Dude! How does he keep his beard out of the way?!?!?! With a beard like that, you'd never have to reach for another piece of sheep's wool again. Just use the beard for wiping off antiques, buffing out finishes, and applying a little edge dye. 7 more years til retirement and I'm getting started on my beard. Quote I gotta have more cowbell !!!!
