Once Resolene is applied as a finish; that is all you can do the the product. Resolene seals and water proofs, it does not allow anything to penetrate.

Waterproof ? Maybe resistant.

Typically, Resolene will repeal water to a certain point. If the finish was applied to the top of the leather. You should be able to apply water to the underside with a note of caution. You may end up with water stains on the top end. Wet slowly and do not submerge!

I do the resolene trick inside and out, . . . up and down, . . . top an bottom.

It still ain't "waterproof", . . . but it is right real good and close to it.

You can add any good boot or shoe polish to it, . . . make it REALLY shine then.

May God bless,

Dwight
