Members Eddie1968 Posted August 8, 2015 Members Report Posted August 8, 2015 Looks great! The proportions of the drawing/carving are all spot on. Really nice. Eddie. Quote
Moderator immiketoo Posted August 8, 2015 Author Moderator Report Posted August 8, 2015 This was a difficult piece. Especially the face. Making the mask look like it is translucent was a trick. Thanks everyone! Quote Learnleather.com
gdonovan Posted September 1, 2015 Report Posted September 1, 2015 Really nice job Mike. The character is very well done! Not to distract from that, I too was wondering about the background.I googled Bob Beard and came up with a website that is not yet developed. Any ideas as too where else I can see some of his tools? The background you created, how well do you think it would stand up on a handbag or belt...with the wear and tear I mean. Do you think it would flatten out fairly quickly? I am anxious to see more of Bob Beard's creations. Thanks in advance and keep up the great work! Quote www.donovansleather.com

I use it on my barstools and on belts etc. It can be hit so the impression is quite deep. Bob's website is a bit of an issue, but he doesn't care as he has more orders than he can keep up with. Your best bet is to call him at 505-632-7039. Quote Learnleather.com
