Members glockanator Posted August 22, 2015 Members Report Posted August 22, 2015 Anyone have a generic dog collar pattern they would be willing to share? Need to make two one for a french bulldog and one for a boxer. Any tips or tricks will be appreciated Quote
Members DoubleC Posted August 22, 2015 Members Report Posted August 22, 2015 glock, they're just small belts. I don't have a pattern but I don't use one. I put 5 holes in the front, measure from the third to the middle of the buckle to size them. just use a strap cutter. I make mine 5/8ths, an inch and 1 & 1/2 inches. Cheryl Quote
Members LeatherLegion Posted August 22, 2015 Members Report Posted August 22, 2015 If both dogs are fully grown you can keep the number of holes for adjustment to a minimum...Thickness of the collar will affect the size...more so on small size collars. I ask my costumers to measure their dogs neck circumference at the smallest part...snug...no fingers in-between the neck and the measuring tape .Make sure the inside circumference of your collar, while buckled up, will match that size . Measured flat on the table , it will be probably 1-2in longer depending on how thick the collar is. Good luck with them and don't forget to post pictures Quote
Members glockanator Posted August 27, 2015 Author Members Report Posted August 27, 2015 Thanks for the replies just waiting on the measurements. My other question is to find the center for the names do I measure to the halfway point between the buckle and the hole closeted to the buckle? Quote
