Members venator Posted August 25, 2015 Members Report Posted August 25, 2015 Has anyone ever used a router on a horizontal mount to skive their leather? Quote
Members Colt W Knight Posted August 25, 2015 Members Report Posted August 25, 2015 If the router bit caught the leather just right, it would wrap the leather around the bit and all hell would break loose quicker than you can bat an eye. Quote
Tree Reaper Posted August 25, 2015 Report Posted August 25, 2015 I wouldn't use a router on leather, it will grab, just too dangerous. You can use a small block plane with a sharp blade to skive leather. Quote
Members ramrod Posted August 29, 2015 Members Report Posted August 29, 2015 i use a crazy sharp wood chisel. 1/2" wide for more control. Quote
