Members Windrider30 Posted September 19, 2015 Members Report Posted September 19, 2015 First leather backpack that I have ever done, came out pretty good, straps ugg I hate cutting straps but shoulder staps are ajustable as each has six holes to run though. Draw string is made from kangaroo lace to draw the backpack closed with a closure flap over top body is made from 6 to 7 oz leather, side gusset is 4 oz leather (first side was a pain in the ass to put on second side went like a dream!) took about 2 days from cut to finish. All parts are buffed with aussie conditioner. Thinking of trying to sell this, and a few others for around 250 to 300 dollars. Not totally sure on price just yet. Quote
Contributing Member Ferg Posted September 19, 2015 Contributing Member Report Posted September 19, 2015 Refine your work before trying for the price range you are looking at. I am not trying to be too critical. Your edges need work, tooling as well. Nothing practice won't fix. ferg Quote
Members AndersenLeather Posted September 19, 2015 Members Report Posted September 19, 2015 If your are able to sell it for 250-300$ you should do it. If people are willing to pay that amount then that's what is worth. Quote
Members 25b Posted September 19, 2015 Members Report Posted September 19, 2015 For straps, get a plough gauge and you won't hate cutting straps anymore. Quote
