The 3/4 HP consew brushless servo is only 125ish on amazon. Is that a good step? My friend mentioned an EFKA but they are a bit more. See if you can get a 45mm (1.75") or 50mm (2") pulley that will fit the shaft on your motor. This will give you a boost in torque and reduction in speed.
