Stitching Pony

Hello all...........needed a stitching pony, and after doing several searches on handmade ones, I settled on this one ........ cherry, stainless steel hardware, Horween leather pads......Measurements are: 16" base x 18" tall x 2 7/8" wide. I made two of them so I'll be offering one up for sale in the classifieds shortly......thanks for looking..........Don

Yours is very similar to the design I used for mine, yours is much nicer though. I built mine out of scrap pine that came from a shipping crate from a very large machine. Nice work and cherry happens to be one of my favorite woods.

Very nice. The cherry is beautiful. Much nicer than mine. What did you do on the right side to let the jaws open? I can't tell from the photo.

Thank you all for the nice comments ..... There is a hinge on the right side that allows the opening and closing.

That is very nice, I've just got the husband to make me a new stitching poney, but a tall one that can sit on the floor.

I'm very happy with it, but will also refrain from showing you pictures of it (made out of unfinished scrap wood, and it would be embarrassed to be next to your lovely version).
