I'm actually using 277 for both right now but I planned on using 277 and 207. It seems like the backstitch is too thick but obviously I'm wrong. Do you think I would have a problem using 277 and 207?

It looks fine to me, but I am definitely no authority on sewing machines. You probably should start a thread in the sewing machie section and ask some of the pros.

Very nice, as has been stated already I too see a definite improvement, look like I have a lot of catch up to do!
